Fiona Daly

Fiona Daly is the Associate Director of Sustainability and Patient Transport at Barts Health NHS Trust; the largest Trust in the NHS occupying 574,000m2 of real estate, employing 14,000 staff and with an annual turnover of £1.25bn.

Fiona has worked for the trust for the past 6 years where she has successfully implemented a number of initiatives to reduce the trusts environmental impacts; reducing emissions by 48,500 tonnes, achieving savings of £9.2m and supporting the local community in east London to tackle social impacts which have a determinant on health; such as fuel poverty and poor air quality.

Through her work she has successfully delivered wide scale change programmes, both within the organisation and within the wider NHS, putting research behind complex problems such as how to change behaviours and enabling sharing and collaboration across sectors – public, private and third. Her work has been recognised in a number of awards won by the trust including the prestigious Health Service Journal (HSJ) Award for Improving Environmental and Social Sustainability and two peer voted 2Degrees Awards. Fiona is also a certified member of the British Institute of Facilities Managers (BIFM), a member of the Institute of Healthcare Estate Engineers and Managers (IHEEM), part of the faculty for European Sustainable Procurement at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainable Leadership (CISL), a Board member at the Energy Managers Association (EMA) and a Trustee at Hubbub (a sustainable change charity).
